Arthur Guinness founded this brewery in 1759 famously signing a 9000 year lease on the site. His ambition to brew has given the world the black porter drink called Guinness. The Storehouse, formerly the Market Street Store was a fermentation house now transformed it is a visitor centre which boasts all the information one needs to know about Guinness’ history and brewing process as well as recipes for cooking with Guinness and cafés and restaurants. A complimentary pint of Guinness is provided at the end of the tour in the panoramic Gravity Bar.
